Since we have everything available on click, we just borrow job descriptions or skills from the resumes we find online or use resume templates when we need a resume update, right?
This is not such a bad thing if you use that as guidelines to rewrite your resume, but you are getting nowhere if you just copy-paste phrases and overused descriptions.
Your resume MUST reflect YOU, otherwise, you are damaging your job search.
Here is what you need to do:
🟢 You must present your unique career path and expertise because that’s the only way to stand out among hundreds of other candidates
🟢 Recruiters and HR people can immediately tell if your resume is genuinely written or a template, be unique.
🟢 Your “demonstrated excellence”, “ability to excel in fast-paced environments”, or “proven ability to deliver results” are not going to land you an interview. Avoid phrases.
🟢 Remember – no one else possesses the exact work history and work experience as you, the exact skill set or achievements… Use that wisely to your advantage and let your resume clearly show this.
